Brisbane, Queensland, March 7th, 2023 – AUSEV and Evansa have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to work together in the electric vehicle (EV) industry. The agreement aims to bring sustainable and innovative solutions to the Australian market, starting with the supply of commercial EV’s and the generation of ACCUs for customers wishing to decarbonise their fleets.
Under the agreement, Evansa will implement and operate projects to generate ACCUs with the Clean Energy Regulator for AUSEV’s clients transitioning to low and zero-carbon emission vehicles. This includes managing the audit process, offtake arrangements and providing the proceeds of the sale of carbon credits back to AUSEV to pass onto its clients.
On the other hand, AUSEV will work with its customer base to provide Evansa with historical fleet data for vehicles that will be replaced by low-emission or zero-emission vehicles, as well as ongoing access to telematics data for all vehicles participating in carbon projects.
“This partnership will help us achieve our goal of reducing carbon emissions and promoting a greener future for Australia,” said Brendan Kenny, Head of Operations at AUSEV. “We are excited to work with Evansa to bring full EV solutions for our customers to the market, and this is a significant value add for fleet and asset owners looking to decarbonise.”
Ross Cullen, Managing Director at Evansa, commented: “The partnership between AUSEV and Evansa will further incentivise fleets to transition to zero-emission vehicles by allowing the generation of carbon credits, reflective of the carbon emissions new vehicles save over the outgoing vehicles”.
The two companies are poised to bring a positive impact to the EV industry and set a new standard through the generation of ACCUs for its customers.
